We're Sooooo Ready To Bring The "Big Easy" To HOUSTON!!!

Soooo, the decorations are being ordered and the invitations are DONE!!! Well, almost! LOL We have to stick a few more rhinestones and then they'll be ready to mail out!!! We are so excited that the venue has been selected for the Engagement Party and can't wait until November 20th!!! It's going to be an AMAZING party with our closest friends and family. We're going to bring the spirit of N'awlins to Houston with some cajun food, jazz music, second line, beignets and MORE!!!

So with the help of my beautiful cousin/ bridesmaid Danielle, we have come up with the PERFECT theme for our Engagement Party next month!!! MARDI GRAS!!! With Jabari's family being from New Orleans and my absolute LOVE for the city, the theme is perfect for us! Jabari and I took our very 1st trip as a couple there! We had the most AMAZING time in the "Big Easy" and we have made it an annual trip every summer! From the Cajun food, the Dixieland Jazz and the overall spirit of the city, there is no place in the world like it and no better party than a MARDI GRAS style Engagement Party!!! A Month Ago Today Was The Happiest Day Of My Life...

I can't believe EXACTLY a month ago today, I was proposed to!!! Words CANNOT simply describe the amount of happiness and joy I feel in my heart! As a little girl, you grow up watching all these Disney fairy tales and wonder if dreams really do come true. I remember "Cinderella" being my favorite fairytale and the song, "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes." My dream and my fairytale surely came true on August 6, 2011 when my Prince Charming Jabari asked me to become his wife...
